Emily in Tallahassee, Fla.: I'm not expecting a big makeout scene, but is there any hint of Olivia/Peter coming up in Fringe?
Ahem. Everybody must watch this week's Fringe (but especially you Emily in Tallahassee, Fla.) even if you've been wavering a bit on that series. Something that we've been waiting to see since the pilot finally (finally!) happens. The scenes in question are totally gratifying (albeit rushed a bit, when this subplot might have been better served with a little foreplay preamble), but then what we are given is snatched away again, in totally heartbreaking and perfect TV form. Excellent work, Bad Robots. Can't wait to see what happens next

Jessalyn in Butte, Neb.: I can't wait for next week's flashback episode of Vampire Diaries. Is anything revealing going to happen?
How does this sound? This week's The Vampire Diaries reveals one of the biggest secrets of all: What actually happened to make Damon and Stefan hate each other? "We get to see the incident that drove them apart for the first time," says show runner Julie Plec. Ooh, "the incident"? sounds a little Lostish! Also, we'll see Dexter's James Remar for the first time as Papa Salvatore. Let's just hope he lives by a very different code than Harry Morgan!

All right, but I feel the need to throw out another spoiler alert warning before revealing the following: The incident that tore Damon and Stefan apart involves their mutual love of a certain Elena look-alike vampire. Turns out, Stefan might inadvertently be the reason Katherine was locked up in the tomb, hence Damon's desire to free her, and his unexplained hatred of his little bro.

Frankie in Atlanta: I've figured it out. It's Orson who is going to die on Desperate Housewives, right?

Stand by while Kyle MacLachlan grabs the mic to tell you: "You heard it here first! I make it through and will be returning to the show." Can I get a woot-woot? MacLachlan told us this news at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, confirming that Orson will survive the much-buzzed-about plane crash that, according to my in-house frenemy, leaves five characters dead. So what, you may ask, is that bloody golf ball doing in the middle of Orson's forehead in the photo above? Well, would you be super annoyed if I confessed that it's a Halloween pic from 2007 that I sorta kinda thought would be hilarious to post with the item just for poops and giggles? If so, I did no such thing and there's a "secret" (wink, wink) meaning to the photo.

Ahoy, fellow Powegian! We just chatted up the lovely Laura Vandervoort, aka Anna's daughter Lisa, and she is good with the keeping of secrets! Because of those damn Winter Olympics: "We haven't gone beyond the first four episodes," said Laura. Having said that, we did have some fun with the starlet trying to guess what might be coming up on V. "I'd like to think Lisa's unsure of her mother's plans and they're really there for peace," Laura teased. "Then she'll fall for Tyler and go off with the humans and revolt against her mother." And tomorrow, Lisa tells mommie dearest that Tyler is "the one," but she promised, "Nobody knows what 'the one' means, not even me." Hmph.

Amanda in Menlo Park, N.J.: Last week's episode of Fringe with the Observers was sooo good. What else is going on with that show?
According to Fringe exec producer Jeff Pinkner, here's what you can look forward to in upcoming episodes: "We deal with an outbreak-type condition...[There's] an episode that's really big and fun and crazy about how what it is that we think we're seeing isn't necessarily the truth. And in a couple of episodes, we drop a bombshell for our characters and one of the big dormant secrets, one of the bombs of the table, as it were, goes off. Perhaps it will be blow apart our team, and certainly it will change the nature of their relationship. We delve a little bit more directly with the alternate universe and what's going on over there and how it may affect our world. We also have a really cool episode coming up that deals with Walter's (John Noble) memory and William Bell (Leonard Nimoy) specifically."

Question: Do you not like FlashForward or something? There has yet to be one single iota of a scoop about the show. Could you please give me something to chomp on? —Stephanie
Ausiello: I like FlashForward just fine. The problem is I don’t love it. And if last week’s living room showdown between Joseph Fiennes and Sonya Walger’s future lover is a preview of the kind of painfully heavy-handed schlock to come, I may have to bail soon. The good news? This week’s episode is supposed to be a vast improvement. I hear we may even find out the significance of the Blue Hand.

Question: Any scoop about this week’s Fringe? If the previews are any indication, it looks like a keeper. —Al
Ausiello: Even gravel-voiced, stone-faced FBI agents have a softer side. And we get to see it when the usually serious-as-a-heart-attack Broyles gets embroiled in a case from the past that has a special personal meaning for him, so much so that he even steps on a few inter-agency toes to solve it. Contaminated cosmonauts and conspiratorial cover-ups abound. Plus, who knew the “Intelligence” in “Central Intelligence Agency” was extraterrestrial? (Okay, I kinda did.)

It was a 5-0 Buffy blowout! True Blood came in second, followed by newbie series The Vampire Diaries in a distant third. When Twilight's Edward and Bella were thrown in the mix, they came in second after Buffy and Angel, but well ahead of Sookie, Bill, Stefan and Elena. Good work, Team Slayer!

Question: I’m tired of people bitching about Gossip Girl being in a creative slump. I’m loving this season. Got scoop? —Alex
Ausiello: I’m (mostly) loving this season, too. The Chuck-Blair stuff continues to be immensely satisfying. And Hilary Duff isn’t nearly as annoying as I thought she’d be. On the scoop front, there’s a big Blair-Serena blow-up coming. The frenemies will definitely be on the outs for a little bit.

Question: Have we seen the last of Charlie on Fringe? —Kevin
Ausiello: Exec producer Jeff Pinkner isn’t ruling a comeback out. “We’ve already met Charlie’s doppelganger in the alternate reality,” he says. “He still exists.” Adds fellow e.p. J.H. Wyman: “No one ever really dies on Fringe.” BTW, Pinkner insists the exit of Kirk Acevedo’s G-man was strictly a creative decision and not a reflection on the actor himself (despite that whole Facebook debacle). “We wanted to take our team out of the FBI office and a little bit more underground,” he says, “and Charlie was a [casualty] of that.”

Question: Will we meet Olivia’s evil stepfather on Fringe this season? —Zakaria
Ausiello: “We’re talking about it,” responds Jeff Pinkner. “We definitely have been talking about that.”

Question: What happened to the new female FBI agent on Fringe? I thought she was sticking around all season. —Chris
Ausiello: According to Pinkner, Special Agent Jessup (Meghan Markle) is waiting in the wings and may pop up again in the future: “There was never any length of time [assigned to her stay],” he says. “There’s no end date. She’s an available tool in our toolbox and we’ll use her as we see fit. [But] we’re really trying to tell stories about our main characters… we want to get deeper with them, so we don’t have a lot of time to go into the FBI. I think our fans really want to get to know our [core] characters more and that’s what we’re endeavoring to do this year.”

Ausiello: Someone at ABC suggested it might be fun to slap an Oceanic logo on the ill-fated plane, but the idea was quickly (and thankfully) nixed.

Ausiello: Next week’s episode is even better than this week’s, according to the show’s unbiased boss, Kevin Williamson. “We’ll meet Katherine and learn the backstory,” he reveals. “We get to see what Damon and Stefan’s relationship was like in the 1800s and where it all went wrong. We see how the triangle got created, and how they became vampires. It’s a big episode.”
